20th anniversary of Brandenburg participation/ growing number of participants: 184 exhibitors from Berlin-Brandenburg and four combined participations
At the world-leading industrial Fair in Hanover from 19th to 23th April 2010 the German Capital Region Berlin-Brandenburg is present with 184 exhibitors (2009: 143). 50 exhibitors are from Brandenburg. The main subjects of participation are in Research & Technology (hall 2, stand A30), Industrial Supply (hall 5, stand D25), Industrial Automation (hall 9, stand A10) and Energy (hall 13, stand B60). 34 exhibitors are showing their products and services at the stands organized by the Potsdam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PCCI) “energizing Berlin-Brandenburg” and “Suppliers Market Berlin-Brandenburg”.
In 2010 the Federal State of Brandenburg celebrates its 20th exhibition anniversary at Hanover Fair with a completely new designed stand construction which was developed by five students from the Masters course of the Potsdam School of Architecture managed by Prof. Ludger Brands. The concept of the student Una Raeuber was chosen by a jury. That concept is based on the world-famous Brandenburg Gate standing in the central focus of the new stand.
Since the time the special fair “Energy” became a part of Hanover Fair the Potsdam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PCCI) organized a participation in that field. In 2010 there are 18 companies and institutions at the Capital Region’s participation. The subjects are representing regional energy economy from PV via bio-energy, wind, geothermal energy, energy efficiency and management to the conventional energy supply.
First time present at “Suppliers market Berlin-Brandenburg” in hall 5: CNC-Precision manufacturing Ojinski (Ruehstaedt), Unitechnik Automation Technology (Eisenhuettenstadt) and Heckmann Steel and Metal Construction East (Eisenhuettenstadt). Our eldest exhibitor “MaTec Rubberworks” (Caputh) is “on board” again.
With Italy the Hanover Fair 2010 has a very interesting and economically prosperous and innovative partner country. More than 150 Brandenburg companies are doing regular business with Italian companies. Business delegations from Russia, Ukraine, Singapore and Nigeria have already announced their visit of the Berlin-Brandenburg stands.
